Kenpo Data Base
I'm playing around with creating data bases and using java as a front end. But I'm having a little creativity problem. Here's a question: If you were to create a Kenpo Data Base what would you have in it? Any suggestions are fine I'm just learning new tech here and wanted to do something fun with it.

Re: Kenpo Data Base
Principles and their definitions.
Technique descriptions.
Descriptions of Forms.
History & Lineage (Family Tree)
...some suggestions. :D

Re: Kenpo Data Base
Hi.
Did you mean for your students, like what they know?
Or a database of information about kenpo?
If that's the case, then all of the techniques, their belt level, the description, category of attack, family grouping, if it's in a kata(which one) and in what position.
The katas all written out.
Sparring techniques
Hmmm

Re: Kenpo Data Base
Family groupings would be nice too.

Re: Kenpo Data Base
What about starting from the ground up with basics, then techs and forms. Perhaps you could link them together so when a basic is listed, you can see a list of techniques or forms that basic is in, or which forms a technique is in, etc.
Sometimes I forget how to perform a basic move (or forget the name), but may be able to remember by running through a form or tech.
I second the suggestion on family groupings.
