For the past several months I've been trying to teach our kittens Kenpo, but with little success. Then the other day I was watching UFC reruns on Spike TV, with both our kittens on my lap, when I got a call to go down to the dive shop for a couple hours. When I got home this is what I found...
Over the years I've seen many new belt designs introduced into the martial arts. Not wanting to be left out, I too developed my own unique design. Belts will be available in all denominations at ridiculously high prices. :whatever:
I only have one page and I'm not sure where this originated, but I was told it's a part of a rotating curriculum and I'd like to get my hands on a copy it. Does anyone recognize the attached page or know where it can be obtained? Thank you.
Mr. Wedlake has now a podcast on http://feed.podcastmachine.com/podcasts/3314/ Check it out ;)

Hey all, been away for a bit, hoping to get back in the swing of things. Lots been happening, and just have not had time to get on KT, but should be simmering down a bit now. So I've just started seeing posts for a new American Kenpo school in the Denver area. The guys name is Joseph Ellerin,...

Anyone know what ever happened to him? He used to own Silk Wind College of Martial Arts in Connecticut. I have done the usual searches and nothing new.
I know we have broached this topic in the past in a round about way in some threads. But lets attack this again, what would you change in the Kenpo system. What needs to be added or removed or changed, or is the system good enough the way it is.
Sitting here tonight I am watching the Pasadena Homecoming DVD's and I am watching Sigung LaBounty discuss creating a gap in self defense situations. Some very simple ideas, but very very effective stuff. Did any of our members make it to this great event? Have any of our members ever done...
Please forgive me for my ignorance (I'm not a EPAK student) but I couldn't help but notice that most all American Kenpo students have a particular hand position. In many of the clips I've seen, especially when crossing out, the EPAK practitioner will extend his or her first two fingers on each hand...
I recently received a letter from 32 year old brown belt in Villa Alemana, Chile, who's getting ready to test for his first degree black belt. In the letter he asked me what it means to be a good black belt. I answered as best I could. Mr. Hale, I'm a thirty two year old law graduate,...
The 24 technique EPAK curriculum (at least, as I've seen it structured) does not include a technique for defending against a weapon at the Orange Belt level. On the surface, this is a bit curious since the category has already been introduced at Yellow Belt. Why do you think there isn't a...
Trace the path all the way back to Mr. Parker. :)
Most schools have a time-in-grade for colored belts, but in your opinion what does the time-in-grade equate to in training hours? It’s one thing to say you have to be an orange belt for so many months before testing for purple, but it’s something else to say you have to have so many class hours. ...

For Ed Parker Kenpo, does any person of this computer group forum know if a training horse stance can be directed diagonally 45 degrees away from 1200 to the left or to the right and therefore be considered a neutral bow stance?
I have read somewhere on here about the AKKI sets there is one called the black belt set has anyone heard about it? It sounds interesting. I know Mr. Hancock has a few new sets He calls sets three. just wonder what else is out there. Cheers Scott
I'm wondering why so many people seem to do upward blocks at the end of Short 2 instead of extended outward blocks... I've seen it in person, as well as in various video clips. Did they used to actually be upward blocks at some time in the past, and some still do it that way, or is it jut a...
