Dear Kenpo brothers and sisters:
Did any of you see the latest installment in the "Human Weapon" series where the boys were in China?
The two parts that impressed me most were the Wing Chung master on the Great Wall and a Master Weng? who practiced full contact Kung Fu and had the fastest roundhouse kick that I believe I have ever seen. I have seen "Superfoot" Bill Wallace fight in his heyday but this guy was truly amazing! The Shaolin temple scenes demonstrating the application of Chi were also unforgettable.
What did you all think?

Daffy, fighting with his $1.25 quarter staff : "Ho! Haha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!" (quarter staff bounces off log, bending his beak. He straightens it back to normal, and starts speaking to himself) "Something's amiss here... hmm, let me run through it. Ho, haha, guard, turn, parry, dodge, spin, ha, thrust." (beak bends again) "Got it." (straightens beak, and starts his fighting moves again.) "Ho! Haha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin!"

I NEVER miss the show! I record it and then put it on DVD in fact. I like the show. In fact, I like it better than Deadly Arts that is on Fit TV.

I actually prefer deadly arts to human weapon ... she is legit, they are kind of goofy.
It's like watching Man VS Wild when Survivorman is clearly better and was out first
Bear stays in hotels with the crew when they are not filming ... Les gets dropped off and films the whole thing himself in addition to the show content. He is the man.

Glad to hear HW is back on the air...it's not aired for several weeks on Friday's History Channel. This Friday (11/9 @ 8:00pm MT) it's showing Russian Extreme Fighting of Sambo.

Anybody see the the latest on Cambodian Pradal Serey?
Saw lot's of similarities to wrestling and Muay Thai.
The best part was seeing Bill's big goofy arse on the back of that moped...ROFLMA

Deadly arts covered a couple that Human Weapon is not going to cover, but Human Weapon is covering a WHOLE LOT MORE of the arts than Deadly Arts did.
I like both shows though!

I came in a little late on the show, just flipping the channels, and I thought to myself "aw man, it's a repeat of Muay Thai"... until I saw the takedowns. I've never heard of Pradal Serey, definitely a lot of similarities to Muay Thai. I guess the influence in those areas (Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, etc.) is pretty prevalent.

I really con not stomach Deadly Arts that much. They seem to do a lot of talking about how experienced she is and how she has a gazillion years training over and over and over. For whatever reason I just can not get into watching it.
Human Weapon I do have a blast watching. I think they have done a better job of covering a broad and diverse range of the martial arts.

I'm happy we have these shows. I've watched "Deadly Arts" and I feel it could be a little more ...entertaining...but I'm still glad it's there.
Any positive exposure for martial arts is good. Now....if we can just get the Martial Arts channel off the ground and in every home.....![]()

And her French Accent is annoying. I think a combo of the two shows would be cool. Have Jossete do a fight againts a human weapon at the end. Yup...I'd watch that.
