World Combat league

I found an older thread on the World Combat league but decided to start a new one in this area. Since at the time of the last thread I take it the show had not aired yet and it does pertain to martial arts.

Anyone ever watch an episode of this show? I just found this while surfing around the holiday TV schedule and there is nothing on.

If you’ve seen it, what do you think?

I watch it. Then again if UFC, Pride FC, IFL, World Combat League or Boxing is on I'll watch. I like the idea of WCL. I mean they fight multiple fights and gain points for the team. It's kinda of like IFL but more in the style of Kickboxing. I do like the fact that you get point deductions for delaying or not doing anything. It keeps the pace moving along pretty well. I just saw the episode today there were 3 KO's. For the most part I enjoy it.

I've watched it on the VS channel. Although I am a UFC fan, I like the fact that clinching and groundfighting are not allowed in the WCL which makes for more action in my opinion. I love striking. Must be why I like Kenpo.
I have tickets to the matches in Austin on the 20th. Can't wait.

I got a show last week. I thought it was good. interesting point system where a knockout can bring you back in the game in a hurry.

Interesting contrast with the UFC, eh? In the UFC a submission can bring you back from the brink of defeat. I've seen fighters get the living crap beat out of them to the point where thier face looks like hamburger and then "BANG", there's an opening and they take it making the other guy(without a mark on him) tap out.

....as they say in American Football, "Any given Sunday......"

I'd go to an event if it were in the area. It's an interesting concept for kickboxing entertainment. I hope it succeeds.
