    Default Belt Size

Out or curiosity, do y'all wear 2" or 1 3/4" belts? I have always worn the latter of the two but I know a lot of guys who wear 2". Just seeing which is more popular and why with you guys.

Also, do you like to wear a belt that is shorter than your gi size, the same, or longer? I personally am a size 5 but wear a smaller belt because there is less flapping around and it makes it harder for someone else to grab.

I think we all have 2". Usually have the same size as the uniform for colored belts. Black Belts usually go up on size for the lettering.

I never had a problem with people grabbing my belt. Punch them and they will let go.

I have always given m students a 1 3/4 inch belt for all the colored belts. For Black Belt I gave them a 2 inch.

I like your attitude. I wear a size 4 gi and size 6 belt. I like it hanging down. I could've gone with a 5, but this way I have more room for all that red.

    cough.

I think mine is the 2 inch one.

We wear the 2" belts at my school. I believe I wear a size 4 belt and gi. Although the black belts at our school usually have longer belts for all the lettering like Gakusei mentioned.

We usually give 1 and 3/4" belts at lower levals. I give Black Belts a choice.
With 2" wide belts you usually need to go up ne size. It seems to take up more in the Knot.
