    Default Heather Grandy In Action

    Hi Everyone,

Check out this video of my student Heather Grandy at the 2003 Battle of Atlanta. She was almost 9 years of age at the time. She whips the staff around like a ping pong. But unlike some, she hits very hard.

Wow Jamie! She was great! She was definitely intense, and I loved how she didn't shortcut her staff swings and strikes! She was quick but not rushed and sloppey like I've seen around! She was all-out! Thanks for sharing that!

    Peace,

    D

    GOOD GOD!

I would be thrilled to be a third that good. And I'm a lot older than nine.

What are you feeding them up there?

And how can I get some?

Heather practices literally 7 days per week, and competes across North America on a regular basis. Despite her success, she is very humble and has a great attitude.

She even comes out (without me asking) to help teach the little kids. She is a really awesome person.

Did she compete at Patti & Faron's in 2005? She looks very familiar.

I think she was contemplating going, but had something else come up that weekend.

I'll see about bringing her out next year.

Heather competed in St. Pauls, Mn this weekend at NASKA’s Diamond Nationals and took 1st place in sparring and traditional weapons.

In sparring she had 3 matches and between them the total score was 15-1 in favor of Heather. As a result of her win, Heather won the 2006 NASKA Sparring Championship (4th year in a row she has won this).

Her win in traditional weapons also locks up the 2006 Naska traditional weapons Championship title for her!

    She is doing awesome.

Heather will be displaying her stuff at our October 29th Showcase in London, Ontario.
