    Default Proper attitude

I ran across this quote from the "Inside Gung Fu" website that I thought was of interest. What do you all think?

"Practice as if fighting an enemy and in combat strike as if practicing alone."

I like it. If you got the first part down there is no second part.

"If" is a pretty big word.
"To be, rather than to seem"

"Fix your rear foot ... What the hell is wrong with you?"

"...I already watched the videos, and quite frankly, they're bullsh*t."

    Yeah, that's the reason.

    makes sense...
its also why the vast majority of serious injuries in MMA happens during practice and not in the actual fights.
I am sure there is a whole list of similar quotes and sentiments...
    like
the more you sweat in practice the less you bleed in combat.

Stealing a tag line from somebody on another forum: "In a confrontation you don't rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of your training."

It certainly isn't limited to physical training.
Be careful what you say, some may take it the wrong way.

    Practice like you play.
