A massage chair is not really good for back pain. If the back pain is generic, like overuse, than you are better off just using ice and over the counter pain relievers. If the pain is do to injury, then first see a doctor. If he gives you the okay, then seek out a neuromuscular massage therapist. It helped me. Massage chairs have a set pattern and may not get the spot you are looking to relieve. Just my two cents, hope it helps.

    Hi Kenpo_Paladin,

Your comment is really helpful, I would like to buy a massage chair so I can relax my tired back at the end of the day. Can you please give me advise how to choose a good one? I was looking for reviews, I found a massage chair reviews article which looks pretty good, but it's better to hear a second opinion. Will you please help me? Thank you

As was said earlier.. really depends on the type of pain you are dealing with... If it is just general fatigue and soreness... get into a regular stretching routine through the day and work in hot bath soaks or a hot tub to increase bloodflow.
