Default Do you practice Isometrics ?

What do you think about Isometrics ?
Is this form of excercise helpful to the martial artist ?
If you practice Isometrics what are some of your favorite excercises ?
I visited my chiropractor today and discussed the issue with him. He firmly endorsed Isometrics and said he has been doing them for 30 years. He is a man almost 70 with an erect posture and firm in the belly. He convinced me to try them and I'm curious as to how many on the forum practice this form of excercise.

    Nelson,
If you want to try something a little different, look up muscle control exercises. It was a discipline practice by a lot of the old time strongmen and wrestlers. I think you would like it as the next level after isometrics.

    Paladin,
I'll look it up when I get off the job. The bank job I mean. I can honestly say I do a bank job 5 days a week and never get caught. I'm a janitor and have a key to the bank ! Lol

In the style I study, we do Sanchin kata. More of a dynamic tension, than pure isometrics.

I like what I've seen. No training here unfortunately.
