They are digitally remastered copies of the video tapes with alittle extra thrown in. For example, on the K-22 (22 katas) the Tam Tui is being performed by a young man whom I don't know but he does an excellent job. The Book Set has the lost sections included so that a student can learn them. Another benefit is that you can go right to the form or section you want rather than having to rewind/fast forward, etc.
