Default Congratulations to my son, a new jr. black belt!

My son is 13 years old and will be 14 soon. Last Friday (Sept 8), he worked very hard testing for his junior black belt promotion and finally passed. He has been training in Kenpo for four years so far.

I was waiting until I could get the pictures and/or video clip back, but I still don't have them yet. I decided to post this thread anyway and add the pictures later!

I'm very proud of him! When he was asked by a family friend what he will do now since he got his black belt, his reply was, "I will keep training until I get my adult black belt". That will take several more years. He loves what he does!

A big congratulations to both you and your son. You both should be very proud. His promotion not only reflects his technical proficiency in the art but a special strength of character not commonly found among those in his age group. Quite an accomplishment indeed.

That's terrific. He must be very proud -- second only to how proud you are of him.

    Good job.

Congratulations to you and your son CeiCei! I hope he sticks with it to adult black belt! Our son Philip took a little break to train some boxing after receiving his junior black belt and has just recently gotten back into his adult curriculum training. Good luck to you all!

    Peace,

    D

    Hi Miyu,

Yep, loves it, it is fitness boxing class and he goes 2-3 times a week. It's really made him much quicker and he's really trimmed down.

    Peace,
