    Default 1 Proud Kenpo Dad

This past saturday my 3 year old daughter competed in her 1st tournament. Even though is was a tiny tigers division she broke her 1st board. This may sound a little mushy, but I was so proud of her. She will make a great kenpoist one day. My wife is due in the next couple of weeks with our son. So maybe they will both excell in the art, but I won't push. I just wanted to let my Kenpo Family know about my Baby Girl's success.

    Hi there,

Congratulations, I bet you are very proud! May I ask -

I've never heard of breaking in Kenpo, what style does your daughter do? Do you also practice the same style?

3 years old seems very young, but I bet she'll be a real badass when she's older! What is the age range of the tiny tigers?

All questions meant in good faith, just curious =)

Mush is ok, and you should be proud! You, and her, have my heartiest congratulations!

That is really neat. My wife and I haven't decided when to get our daughter started yet but, it will happen.

That is awesome. I think you and I share some commonalities.

Like you, my daughter studies Kenpo with me and started back in early January. She just turned 4 in June, although I typically won't let a student start until the age of 6. She also won at her first tournament back in May. She trains 2 times per week, and has awesome focus.

    Congrats to your daughter!

Congrats. That sounds like an awesome experience to share. My wife and I just had our baby daughter a month ago. If she decides to follow dad in the world of martial arts I hope to find the same experience and joy you have found.

    Best Regards.
