Where are the stance changes, sir?

Nice presentation there, Frank. My wife is from el D.F. and we visit there several times every year. Next time I am there I'll pay a visit to one of your clubs.

I am still trying to figure out why you are even participating in this thread since your comment has nothing to do with Mr. Soto's clips. If you are using this as another chance to be rude and take on the staff, then so be it, do it in a thread you start. But I will say I have had it with the rude behavior on the site and it is definitely time to clean things up

You know Rob,
I have been hit by Mr. Soto more than once. He is a great guy. I think this is why most of us dont post ourselves in motion.

Nice clip Mr. Soto. Not my style, but I can appreciate what you're doing. You are pretty deceptive for a big fellow.
Thanks for the reminder about the topic Rob, I appreciate it. My bad.
Don't put your own "spin" on the rules though Rob. Anyone can still critique someone's video without having to post their own and you know it. They just can't rip it apart. Mikael151 asked a question. Is Bob H. putting a stop to questions now? I doubt it. As far as being rude, considering you are a Global Mod., I've read more than a few of your rude posts. Any further discussion can be made by PM's if you wish. If not, I'm done taking up bandwidth in this thread.

Thanks for sharing!
I have a question if you'd be kind enough to address it. I like how you address the "shoot" but I didn't recognize a mechanism for dealing with or stopping the forward momentum of the attacker. What did I miss?
Thanks!

...Looks as though he used his right shoulder backed by his backup mass and then a right ridge hand to his attacker's groin after slipping his attacker's right punch....

Again, I apologize. I opened up this link to youtube and watched some other Kinetica videos. My criticism was of an entirely different Frank Soto video. My bad...
This is actually better than the previous videos from Mr. Soto I've seen.
Having said that; I am free to criticize whoever posts a video of themselves. I would expect no less if I posted my own video.
Thanks RoadRunner for understanding where I'm coming from.

Hello everybody,
thanks for watching the videos and for posting.
About the question of the "shoot" I stoped my opponets momentum by canceling his dimensions with a pushing check at his hip, ading a ridge hand to the groin and an elbow like "Locking Horns" techinque, I hope that helps, thanks again and take care,

I have a quick observation. The "shoot" that was performed was entirely too high and would have had limited momentum and power which would effect the balance shift needed for the technique. I'd like to see your response to a correctly done shoot or double-leg, whichever terminology you would prefer. I just can't see forward momentum just stopping like you're showing. In my experiences it doesn't work that way.

Fair enough,
but I wasn´t really shown a "shoot" in the first place is just a move and having fun with the art, but if somebody would go to my legs like in MMA´s match woudl happen I would juts off angle or stop the momentum by the shoulders, I have done it a lot of times and it works, and yes the "shoot" takedown also works so it is all up to the figthers "at the time" of the move, its a matter of who is best prepared for winning a fight at the moment (timing, coordination, stamina, etc) not a matter of which art is better or if I know a BASIC move or not, just my thoughts if I wanted to go to Cage fighting I would have to learn to PLAY that game and train really hard for it
What I teach and train is more self defense oriented so that is not the case, but Thanks a lot for the comments and I look forward for more positive sharing,
Respectfully,

Thank you for the informed response. Would you happen to know of any Kenpo practitioners that do MMA and are successful? I'd like to look up some videos/information. Also, I know about Bart Vale and Keith Hackney, but is there anything more recent?
