    Default Kata Clip 1

    Hi.

I have several kata clips to share from the demo DVD my brother made for me. Bear in mind that I did 12 katas in 2 1/2 hours of doing them straight and my knee was still not in very good shape from my injury, so don't judge my stances too harshly.

Some of them are katas that my instructor and I made up and some are the traditional ones.

When I watched myself do form 4 (and others as well), I learned quite a few things: 1. I was doing a move out of order. 2. 5 swords doesn't have the last two chops in the kata. 3. Circling fans parries are a little different. And 4. I could've sworn I did those katas better than that.

This first one is, I think, Yellow 1.

Before I post any others. Can anyone see these? All I get is a blank screen. Any suggestions?

Both clips look good, after I followed Shawn advice. Good intensity Amy.

That is pretty cool...this DVD is it just a system of Katas using the techniques?? That was one thing I liked about the IKCA was the master form contained all the techniques in the system.

In our school, we made up some additional katas each of which has 12 techniques. I didn't post the rest of them yet, but there are also katas for purple, blue, green, 2 for third brown and 2 for second brown. They really help me to work the techniques when I'm by myself.

Since I rarely have two other people to work the two-man attacks with, it's great to have the katas to move through them.

I'll post the rest when I can convert them and compress them.

Those looked good. You are very articulate on each move, thats they way to do a form. Excellent work.
