    What type of mats do you have in your school?

    We have wrestling mats in our school. Although I would prefer jig saw puzzle mats.

    For the majority of the floor we use the puzzle mats. Greatmats.com is a pretty good place to shop. They usually have some good specials.

    We also have larger, thicker, fold out matts that we break out for when we do throws or grappling drills.

    We don't have any permanent mats down, the floor covering is rug, so we do most of our falling on that.

    The mats we do have are reconditioned wrestling mats that are only broken out if we are doing falling (or throwing) instruction. Having used them last night, they don't have all that much give to them for repeated high amplitude falls.

    When I first started training my instrcutor bougt one old beat up mat at a school closing sale. Until then we learned how to roll oand fall on the tile covered concrete floor.

    we have wrestling and gymnastic mats.

    We use the gymnastic mats for people who have an issue with falls and rolls, graduating them up to the wrestling mats.

    We only use the mats for falls n' rolls or grappling, the rest of our training time is on concrete, gotta get used to falling on something like pavement

    Right now we have the jigsaw puzzle mats on the floor. We also have the 1" folding mats well get out for throwing classes.
