Yes, we're OK, thanks. My daughter works at that mall, but had the day off, so that was a big relief. It doesn't look like any of our students or families were involved, thankful for that

I dont think the headlines would say that the gunman was recovering, as long as the kenpoist didnt take a round as well. Life and Death sitituations have to be dealt with as such.There is no doubt that people who are that emotional disturbed are a threat. Its just odd to me that no one saw him with the gun prior to the attack.

I appreciate the vote of confidence, and I understand the feeling that I could have done something had I been there... but damn he was firing dozens of rounds from an assault rifle, I think a better idea is for one of our local "CCW rednecks" take him out (NE passed CCW law last year). But the mall has a "no weapons" policy so everyone had to leave their pistol in their truck. When the mall doesn't allow guns, only criminals have guns in the mall.

But who knows... I hope that I would have the self control to act if I did run into him, but I sure as hell would not have been headed toward the gunfire!!
