"Praying Mantis, very good. . . For catching bugs." --Jackie Chan
"A horse stance is great for taking a dump" --Jet Li
I simply saved it, opened it with "paint", saved it in JPEG format, then posted it.

I got it now

Looks like they are taking the meaning of the name and translating it.
Robert - bright fame
David - beloved
I did a bablefish translation and got similar results (slightly different).
God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth so we can listen twice as much as we speak.
Unfortunantly, he gave us 2 eyes and 10 fingers, which explains the problems we get on the internet.~Zoran

Well... it matches one that I received elsewhere... although better caligraphy in this version... the other looked like it was drawn too Japanese (if that makes sense)...
I thought that the wallpapers listed at the bottom of the page where kinda cool!
The night one looks great on my desktop! Nice to have it with my name in Chinese!
Thanks, Rob!

According to my friend "Lily" (Chen, Li) in Guangzhou, China... this is taking the sound of your name... and finding words to make the same sounds...
She and her co-worker gave me a name based on my names meanings...
Andrew = "Man Warrior"
Goodwin = "Friend of God"
Based on this and my interest in all things Chinese... and the Chinese surnames list... they decided that my name should be Long You or "Dragon Friend"... meaning friend of China...
So, my NEW name in Mandarin is 龙友
How cool is that???
Regards,
龙友

If it's just the "sounds" so it sounds like "David", then I really do not like it.
But if it is a description according to what your name actually means, then I think it is cool.
Now sometimes the "other" language will have an isomorphic example, i.e. in Spanish 'John' is 'Juan'.
It is NOT isomorphic when Han Mun is used.
Now it can be by a sound system in both Korean language and Japanese language.
They also have later developed phonetic alphabets.
