    Default A Message From CC

I've been reflecting a bit lately and I think some of us (including me) have gotten so caught up in some of our differences, that we have neglected a very important fact; we are all also very similar!

We all like KT because it enforces respect for the members, unlike other forums.

We all share a love and passion for our art.

We all are dedicated to learning, and becoming better martial artists.

We all care about the integrity of the arts and strive in our own way to maintain it.

These are just a few things we all have in common. I'm sure if you all think about it, you can find more. The point is, there's been increased animosity due to the focus on our differences. That's not productive nor does it have a positive outcome.

I plead with all of you, to take a step back and reflect on this. We should appreciate the passion all the members demonstrate. It shows they care! I would gladly get on the mat with any of you to train.

People are never going to see eye-to-eye on everything and I really don't believe anyone is trying to sabotage the art itself, so let's try to keep this in mind when posting and take advantage of the vast diversity present here and learn from it instead.

Now, how about we get back to "friendly discussion of Kenpo/Kempo related topics."

    Here. Here.

It doesn't take much to think of a jab at another art. Let's try to also be concious of what some would take as an attack on their art too.

As one of the knotheads, I will endeavor to refrain from further participation in such concerns.

Very well put Celtic. Lets keep this forum the way it should be. I have had private messages about that very thing with CC. We all try for equality on here and none of us should be talking down to another. Lets be nice to each other!!!

Celtic I always sign my posts "Most Respectfully" When I do so it reminds me to look at my post and was it respectful? If not re phrase it until it is.
Only takes a second to be respectful!!

    That's an excellent habit.
