    Default Any Ham Radio operators?

I've been a "ham" (amateur radio operator) for almost as long as I've studied the martial arts, and enjoy it just as much. I think it engages the "other side" of the brain! I was licensed in Georgia (while living in Macon) as KF4UAR. Since then I have upgraded to Extra class, and got the vanity call sign K6BQ. I regularly operate mobile on all the ham bands, but primarily 2m/440 repeaters, and 20/17 meter bands. At home, I enjoy relaxing with a good Morse code "ragchew" on 40 meters. So, who else is a ham?

If I've piqued your interest, you can check out www.hello-radio.org.

    Salute, and 73 de K6BQ

Growing up, I used to love listening to things on my Dad's short-wave radio...

He'd tune in places like Holland and Belgium... an many other that I can no longer remember...

As a former Police Dispatcher... I've always had an interest in scanning... and can see how getting licensed as a Ham could really be a lot of fun...

Perhaps I'll look into this more... as time allows...

Thanks for sharing with us all!

Not a ham...used to be a CE of a commercial station. I'll probably set up some ham equipment once I move to a place that's more suitable.

I think I have a two year window...
