Default Buffalo NY, Oct 13 2006 - State of Emergency?

Roads are clogged with almost a foot of snow, and a gazillion downed powerlines and trees. My street is impassible. Power lines and phone lines are down everywhere.

Heres 3 pics. If you don't hear from me until spring, at least theres photo proof.

All taken at 2:30am, no flash. Goddess I love this camera

BRRRR!!!! That so reminds of North Bay. Thankfully I moved to Southern Ontario.

We're considering heading south...somewhere warm below that Manson/Nixon line.

I can't move much more south in Canada. But the deep south sounds nice as winter approaches.

Wow, it is way to early for snow. We got it here too, but only on the mountain.

Some updated pics. Right now, the regions a mess, 230,000 powerless, highways closed for over 100 miles, and a foot of snow, downed power lines, and tons of trees clogging the roads. Snow will be gone by Sunday, lol. The rest, remains.

Bob, I love the pics your camera takes. They are so clear.

Hope you have food and water to last a month! Sounds like it could be a bit before you all can get out.

    Bob,

I would say grab someone's 4X4 and drag the chainsaw out of the shed. At least that's what we would do in Oregon.

Nikon D50 DSLR. Lens last night was a Nikkor 55-200mm, this morning it was a Sigma 28-105mm.

When I was younger and things like that happened, I'd strap on cross country skis and enjoy the trip in to work. Now I'm older, I just make hot chocolate and to heck with work!

Hope you come through it ok. Just remember to enjoy it however you want (photography would be a good idea) and it will pass better.

everyone has been complaning about no power this, or picking up branches that... try being the only one of your friends with power, and having to pick up after 6 guys crashing at your place for 4 days.

meh, at least they paid for the beer.
