    Default Group Activities

As we were digressing from topic in the 'Touching' thread.. I'm creating one regarding group/school activities.

Do you as a group do anything outside of training?

Pookie was a friend of mine before he became a student. When I get the chance I go see him play (he's a muscician/actually makes a living at it.) Other than that...not really.

We don't have a whole heck of a lot of active students right now. We have 4400 square feet to play around in and only about 5-6 students that show up regularly.

If any of you are ever in GA though, stop by. Get a work out in and we can show you around historic Macon.

I have gone out for a beer after class several times with my students, and all of my adults came out after class on my birthday last year. Before moving up tot he great white north, when we had grading we would have a potluck dinner as well.

Most of us work together and train together... that's about as much of each other as we can stand.

WV really isn't that far...hmmm...might surprise ya one of these days.

We do usually go out for a big dinner after a black belt test... but it's been so long since we had one......

Cool~! yeah Blindside has come out numerous times from Wyoming, one guy rode his motorcycle down from Chicago (in winter~!), another from Michigan,
bunch from Virginia, .. and others' that just wandered in ~!

We're a small group, and I think that keeps the camaraderie going, plus we're all geeks..

We are like a family where I train- Potlucks, dinner sometimes movies etc. we train at GM Kuoha's house so the group is pretty tight-

We are doing a seminar in Mexico (Tijuana) this weekend which should be fun so we are heading down Friday night... I am sure we will find something to do together- like maybe Lobster at Porto Nuevo?
The above is just my opinion.

Just because you do something one way, does not mean that everyone else does it that way, or that it is even the correct way.

There wasn't much socialization outside the kenpo school I used to be with. At the Modern Arnis school I train at we've done a lot of things. Paintball, pool parties, get togthers. It has a more friendly atmosphere.
