    Default Other activities

Other than training what else do you do for fun?

    Golf

    Not fun: school work

I spend most of my time doing school work when I would rather play golf or train.

    Default Howdy!

My wife and I raise Irish Wolfhounds and she travels and shows them. (I am the pit crew)

I play quite a bit of poker (Antithesis of Martial Arts I suppose)-

I really love chess but enjoy a poor rating due to my lack of intelligence and study-

I fly radio control airplanes and instruct that as well... My dad has been building them since I was 12 and he is now 79 so that is our "thing" together.

And I love to do amateur research on martial arts (Kempo/Kenpo primarily) but realize that it seems to be all shrouded in mystery and debate- Still interesting though.

    Cheers everyone!

I would consider myself a recreational bodybuilder. I also like anything cardio vascular. Running, biking, elliptical, biking, and more biking.

I'm about to record my first album in March, so besides Kenpo, singing is my passion. I also enjoy hiking, rock climbing, camping, hockey, reading and movies. In the summer of 2001, I hiked ~900 mi. on the Appalachian Trail, but I haven't had much chance to do that anymore. Darn job, having to be there and all.

Your interests are almost identical to those of my wife, with the exception of hockey (rats, because I don't always get the chance to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs as often as I would want). But like you, Chantel has been singing all her life, and sings frequently at our church. She also loves rock climbing and camping (I don't).

Good luck on your album. Be sure to let everyone know when it comes out. What is your rank in Kenpo? Do you study EPAK?

I am downright boring in comparison. Cooking, reading, wine collecting, fly fishing in the summer and I have property in the mountains I try and spend time at when I can.

... what do you mean 'other than train'... ya lost me. what else is there besides training?

my biggest hobby aside from training would be the gradual task of driving those around me to the same level of insanity that I am at... given that I should probably be locked up in a padded room, fitted with a straight jacket and put on a steady diet of drugs that render me functionless aside from drooling... I have a very long way to go on that hobby. The sad part is I'm not kidding either

Well I guess compared to some of the others here I am pretty boring. I am really in to my X-box I love first person shooters and RPG’s. If I am watching the TV it’s usually on the Science channel or one of the Discover channels. I seem to be a walking dictionary of useless knowledge and might do well on a game show. I have a love of weapons of all kinds but hold a special place for military style rifles. I hope to rebuild my stockpile I mean collection of toys. I also collect NASCAR stuff and have a room devoted to it well that and Kenpo stuff. I can’t wait till Feb Go Dale Jr. I guess the last thing is horses, since I have moved into the city well a small town but still the city coming from my last house that sat on 14 acres. Like my name Philip Greek translation “lover of horses” I like to just go for a trail ride every so often, I am also into cutting and reining. But never could rope worth a dang but I still try every now and then. Other than that just spending time with my wife and kids, oh I left out home theater. My neighbors laugh at me and say that my house glows from all the wired and remote controlled stuff I have running through the walls of my house. I seem to be able to change their Dish network channels when I point my remote at their house LOL it drives then nuts
