Looks like a good time. Any idea on which instructors will be teaching seminars yet Mr.Marshall?

Well, being from Rhode Island and all, the home of every kenpo off-shoot known to man, I'll do my best to explain. Oki-Ryu Kenpo is a system of kenpo created by Don Rodrigues from RI. He and his wife, Christine Bannon-Rodrigues are pretty much famous on the sport karate circuit(aka Paul Mitchell Karate Team etc...). The style from my understanding blends Okinawan karate with mostly Nick Cerio/Goerge Pesare kenpo. Shinko-Ryu Kempo, if i'm not mistaken, is Mr.Derderian's own kempo offshoot.

Ahhhhhhhh....so that's the style of Christine Bannon-Rodrigues. Very familiar with her (damn, she can KICK!!)

Thanks for the info. I was aware of the different offshoots, we're no stranger to them in Nashua either But its sometimes hard to keep track what is from where.

It looks like a fun camp...and I'm not scheduled to be on call that week! Woot!

    Hello everyone,
Just starting to get some registration forms in the mail for camp in the last few days. Remember the deadline for the pre-registration price is Sept 6.
I am happy to say that Sifu Steve Watson of Ct will be here once again. We also have a prominent Thai boxing school in Mass that is sending down an instructor to teach a class or two in this great art.
There are also commitments for Krav Maga, Aikido, Iaido, Kung Fu and even more to come, believe me.
And don’t forget our Guest Instructor, UFC’s Joe Lauzon.
The NEMAC is a gathering of dedicated people who are looking to learn and grow in the martial arts. There are no egos or negative attitudes. You will not find a more respectful atmosphere.
I guarantee everyone a first rate martial arts day.
Email me directly at raffiderderian@cox.net if you have any questions.
Looking forward to seeing you all there on the 12th!
    Yours in Budo,
