Default Southern Pines Kenpo Camp: You CAN afford a camp this year!

ATTENTION! YOU DON'T HAVE TO MISS ANY CAMPS THIS YEAR BECAUSE YOU CAN'T AFFORD THEM!

Due to the current economic climate and in the interest of perpetuating the arts, there will be an affordable kenpo camp in the South-East in 2009.

Thanks to the generosity of several instructors and martial arts enthusiasts the camp only costs $25 per person to cover the cost of using the facility.

On April 4th, in Southern Pines, North Carolina, the Standing Warriors Kenpo Karate Studios presents the 2009 Southern Pines Kenpo Camp with instruction offered by:

    Professor Ken Herman
6th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo and a student of the late Senior Grand Master Ed Parker, Mr. Herman is responsible for the technical write-ups of techniques for the Kenpo Kards artfully designed by Ed Parker Jr.

    Associate Professor Martin Seck
5th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, Mr. Seck has a wealth of knowledge having shared the mats with many of American Kenpo’s Seniors as well as other prominent martial artists throughout his many years of training.

    Master Grappler Dan Maher
5th Dan in Chinese Kenpo, Mr. Maher is also a Master Grappler who competes regularly in Mixed Martial Arts. Mr. Maher will help you brush up on your ground and grappling skills.

    Mr. Lynn Lane
Our host for the event, Mr. Lane is a 2nd Dan in Chinese Kenpo and will be sharing drills and methods to improve spontaneity in our reactions to different attacks.

....and you never know who else might show up.

    Event package coming soon.

I hate to sound like the girl that cried wolf because I didn't make it to Kenpo in the Carolinas in 2008....but I sure as hell hope to be able to make this camp.

Wow, is all I can. Hopefully if my camp is successful I can make it down, if the Girlfriend and Baby will let me out of the house.

Wow, that's only a little over an hour from where I came from.

Any recos for a room in that area?

My mom is in Raleigh but I might book a local room, especially if there is a possibility of partaking in an adult beverage after the training

I am saddened to announce that the Southern Pines Kenpo Camp has been canceled.

I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. Those of you who have sent in a check or money order for the $25 gym fee will have those returned to you.

For questions or concerns regarding your check or money order please contact Lynn Lane at 910-638-1905.

Any other questions or concerns may be addressed to SouthernPines2009@hotmail.com.
