    Default Benefit seminar in Omaha

Here is a request from Sensi Kevin Watson to me.

Hey bud I don't know if you recieved my previous email yet. I was wondering though what your availability would be in march. I am part of the traditional martial arts alliance and we are doing a benefit seminar all proceeds going to the cause of a fellow instructors son. He is 15 years old and battling recurring leukimia. I believe it is a $50 donation from each instructor and to all going, and I think spectators are $25. If this sounds like something you could do please let me know. God Bless

Kevin is a good friend of mine and I will be there. Anyone wishing information, can contact me,and I will post the information once I have it.

    Thanks

Brad, please forward that over to Shihan Steiner if he wasn't already on the email from Sensei Watson. I'm sure he would be glad to help or OMG I might even teach an hour!!! I think that would be a good experience for me.

At the very least I will come and bring some friends.

Hey bud the benefit seminar for Sifu Hachey's son will be at Mark Goblowski's school in bellevue. I believe you can get his address info from the phone book. If not let me know bro. The dates will be march 28th and 29th. We'll all arrive and check in by 6:30 pm on the 28th. That night will be a demo night were each instructor will be given about 15-20 minutes of time to demonstrate their style. The 29th of march will start by 9:00 am and each instructor will get an 1 hour 30 minutes to teach. There will be two teaching sessions on the mat at the same time. I had told Sifu Starr about you being able and willing to do this seminar and he was happy. If you need anyother info let me know. If you could let anybody intersted know that it will be $25 for students and $50 for instructors to get in on this event. All proceeds and money given will go towards Sifu Hachey's son and his leukimia cause. This seminar is about what we can do for their family. God Bless my brother.

Brad, are you sure that is the correct address? Mr. G recently moved his school about 3 blocks west... easy to cope with for attendees (you can see it from there), but mailing a donation might need latest address.

I will have updated info posted soon, with a direct deposit information for those wishing to donate. This goes straight into a bank account for Mr. Hachey's son.

Is there information on a direct deposit or I will be in the area on that weekend and can drop a donation off. I would also be willing to bake for the bake sale if donations are taken that way as well. However, I am interested in doing both.

    Thank you.

The only two things to "donate" in Kenpo is your time or your body. The rest is petty substance.

The reason for the Benefit seminar and donations are to help off set the medical cost of this young mans family. I don't consider any attempt by any martial artist, associations, or organizations, trying to help save some ones life, to be petty substance. It is real easy to hurt people, you don't need Kenpo for that, healing them is something else.

When multiple systems of martial arts come together without ego's, and for go their personal agendas to place the needs of one, ahead of their own, is when you see what the arts can do.
