    Default Texas Kenpo Ohana

    Texas Storm Kenpo
    Richland Hills TX 76180
    817.595.0440

Will be hosting a Kenpo Weekend on Sep 29th and 30th.
Regardless of the patch you wear, you are welcome to participate.

    Come, Share, Learn!

This weekend will be taught by participating Black Belt level instructors.

    Simple rules.

Instructors who teach come for FREE!
Black belts who don't teach may come for $10 once, but cannot attend again without "Bringing something to the table" by teachign a one hour segment.
Brown Belts and below pay $10 for the entire weekend.

It is not about the money. We will collect a token $10 bill from each attendee who is not teaching at the Ohana. The money collected will be divided equally among the instructors of the weekend.

We are conveniently located E of Ft Worth Texas. If you are in reach come on and teach.

Please do not come here with the intent of recruiting others to you school, org or instructor. This event is about sharing. Take part.

That sounds like TOTAL fun! I wish I could be there.

It seems like though, if you do it twice, that you'd end up having more black belts teachers than you'd know what to do with.

I don't know what I'd teach at a seminar. I've never done one. I feel confident teaching my class, but I don't know how I'd feel teaching a bunch of other black belts.

I think I'm going to move this to another thread.

    Mr. Piper:

I tried to clone your ohana here in Nor Cal. Had some success, but had a dickens of a time getting local up-and-coming blacks to present. I like your apporach; keeps it simple as to purpose, and avenue for completion.

    Hi Amy.

Hope everything is going go for you! You should come out and see what it would feel like to teach a bunch of Black Belts.

We did this in San Antonio this spring and the party afterwards was as much as the kenpo!

lucky for me, I am modeling mine after my Kenpo Bros in San Antonio. We had a blast last time. I could not wait to host this one. We are building this on "sharing" to get past the young black belts teaching more experienced black belts.

Besides if They show up, they get to party with us afterwards!

    Great Brian!!
Grab a bunch of your students throw 'em in a van and come down. I am getting together a list of local hotels for everyone.

    Unhappy Re: Texas Kenpo Ohana

    Hi Mr. Piper,

Sorry but I've been away from KT for awhile & just found out about it. How did it go--did you get a large turnout?

I hope you'll have one next year--would love to go.

    Respectfully,
