Long Breach?
Looks like an excellent weekend. Mr. Meeks is very talented, and solid in his ownership of martial knowledge.
Enjoy!

Clear mind, clear movement. Mastery of the Arts is mastery over the Self. That in this moment, this motion, the thoughts, memories, impulses and passions that cloud the mind must yield to the clarity of purpose, and purity of motion.
Doug Meeks impressed the you-know-what out of me last Summer. He was fast, and accurate. I know we "hear" that a lot about people, but he was.
I've always wanted to get into some Russian Sambo since seeing Oleg Taktarov (spelling?) way back when in the UFC. It looked very interesting and I'm always down to improve my ground game.
That being said, on the grappling & groundfighting there's "TBD." Is it not certain if Dan is going to make it? Man, I'd love to bang with him again. He really knows this stuff.
Anyway, it's still up in the air if I can make it or not. Still paying two mortgages and school starts on 8/22. ....sigh...life. But, my wife's uncle is an airline pilot so maybe he can fineagle something for me! 'fingers crossed'![]()

Film, take notes and pictures and most importantly ... share what you learn with us when you get back
Enjoy it and much success.

I think Dan has run into some logistical issues with a family addition about the time of the seminar. I am going to do my best to get him to teach groundfighting/grappling at Kenpo in the Carolinas next year. I know that don't help now, but I'm sure whoever takes his place in Long Beach will be terrific.
Respects,

I'll be there![]()
