Now Tiger & Crane was always a favorite of mine, and I competed with it many times up until Black Belt. I even dusted it off at the Nickel Belt Challenge in April of 2005 for the first time in 15 + yrs and took 3rd with it. I am even considering doing this form at Patti & Farons tournament this year.

I will see if I can twist an arm to get me to London for that date.

I love the Tiger & Crane. It's one of my favorite tournament forms. Great for endurance!

The version that I do is Hung Gar, so there will likely be differences in the version that you know.

When I used to do this form daily I did it teh traditional Hung Har way of Tiger, Crane and then Tiger again, the entire form would take between 12 and 18 minutes depending on breathing as stressing of various muscle groups. for competition I used to the Tracy's version of the form.

I humbly admit, I doubt I would have the endurance to do that, at least with the power exerted in the Tiger section.

    It's an age thing Jamie

I don't have the endurance I used to either.

Don't bring up that bad "age" word Mark. I am too dog-on stubborn. You know that this is going to motivate me to do this, don't you?

Coming from a guy that uses most 20 year-old fighters' heads as punching bags, LOL.

I'll play too, but I want someone to do, or keep up with one handed push ups with a clap. That is one of the most interesting lessons I learned from Tiger and Crane.

Having never met you I have no idea what you look like, but I can't help but envision someone with a REALLY flat nose

If you are intersted in the bike ride it is a fundraiser for MS that goes from Grand Bend to London and back, but split into two days. For the past three years I have had best intentions of doing it but as of yet have not. Maybe a little challenge will provide the right incentive.

There really is a form named centipede? Do you remeber a guy from Joe's when we were on Dundas across from the police station that claimed to have studies centipede style...he used to shuffle sideways like MC Hammer

I can do one-handed push ups. Never tried one-handed CLAP push-ups. How do they work?

    Yes, it's the same one.

Tiger and Crane, as you know, is really good at capturing the power and strength exerted during the first half of the form, and then the relaxation, and fluidity during the crane section. It's also great for balance and stamina, so it is a form that I think everyone will enjoy.

BTW - I have a couple of ideas for our camp. Can you PM your phone number? Thanks Jason.

Maybe that's the solution to the question "What is the sound of one hand clapping"....splat
