Default American Kenpo - Mark of Distinction

On Sunday, October 29th, from 1-5pm at the Berkshire Club in London, Ontario, I will be hosting what I hope will be one of the largest American Kenpo "showcases" ever held in Canada. I want people to see how great this art is.

A lot will be happening at this showcase:

    (1) All forms and sets of American Kenpo will be performed.
    (2) Self-Defense techniques demonstrated at street speed.
    (3) Sparring - both full-contact and point-sparring.
    (4) Weaponry
    (5) Black Belt presentations
    (6) Select demonstrations from black belts representing different styles of the martial arts

If anyone is interested in coming out, tickets are just $5 at the door.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jamie I have a couple of ideas of what I could do at the event. Hook swords or some cane self defense are always fun, and cool to watch.

That sounds like a really great event!

Make sure you have your video camera there please so you can post some clips.

The audio will be impressive too because I'm sure we'll be able to hear the collective ooohs and ahhhhs of the audience.

Let us know how it goes!!

We won't be doing all 154 techniques....probably around 80 or so, one time....full out.

The forms and sets will probably take around 90 minutes.

We'll get it done.....but there won't be much time for breaks, LOL.

    Perfect.

If you know anyone from the Chatham area who might be interested in Kenpo, I'll make sure to let them know that YOU are the go-to guy. If anyone lives around that area, I'll be sure to announce it as well Rob.

    This is gonna rock.

I wish I could be there to cheer you on. Sounds like an impressive showcase. Best of luck. Break a leg (just not litterally)

A live stream would be awesome. Would it be possible to have a "Streaming" section on the site so forum members could stream video during events? How cool would that be. Virtual Seminars!

Jamie, you should consider making a highlight DVD and offer it for a fair price. I would be interested in one for sure.

    Good luck with the event.

Jamie do you have a student or two that are gluttons for punishment? if so I could have a lot of fun with the cane, doing variations of 5 Swords, Deflecting Hammer, Spiralling Twig, Kneel of Compulsion and a little free form material. I have done this material in the past and crowd really gets into it with a little narration.
