Default Event Forum Rules - Please Read Before Posting Here!

This forum is not a "For Sale" forum.

The purpose of this section is to allow a centralized location to make a number of announcements that may otherwise be considered ads without cluttering up the rest of the forum.

    You may post:
    - Event Listings
    - Seminar and Camp Notices
    - Tours
    - Community Service Notes (That deal somehow with Kenpo)
    - Certain Public Notices
    - Entertainment News (That deal somehow with Kenpo)

    You may not post:
    - For Sales
    - Pro Shop Specials
    - Commercial Advertisements
    - Press Releases
    - Birth, Death, Promotion Announcements
    - NEW product announcements (Examples would be a new DVD by an instructor, new knife design, book deals)

If you are uncertain on if something is allowable here, please contact an Administrator or Global Moderator and we will let you know.

Default Advertising Policy Change: Effective October 10th 2010

On June 1st, the following change to KenpoTalk's advertising policy will go into effect.

    KenpoTalk.com Advertising Rates: Effective June 1 2010

Free Listings for Staff, Advisors, and all Supporting Members (SM's and Gold Key).
This means that if you are a member of any of the above listed groups, you may post your events, seminars, and other advertising in the appropriate areas at no additional charge, without delay.
For registered members who are not part of one of the above groups:

    • Free events, and events of a charitable nature (ie raise money for a sick kid) will remain free.
    • Events, Camps & Seminars that charge money a flat fee of $25US will be charged.
    • School, organization and instructor listings will remain free at this time.
    • Your event listings will remain invisible to our members and lurkers until payment is received. If payment is not received within 72 hours, your listing will be deleted.

Unregistered members who just wish to post an ad (and for this definition of Unregistered it means you signed up only to post the ad, not participate in the community) a flat fee of $50US will be charged.

Of course, the cheapest solution is to become a supporting member. For $21.95US you get immediate display of your events, as well as all of the added benefits such as greater access, more features, your own photo gallery, and less ads, as well as helping ensure that KenpoTalk continues to operate and benefit the Kenpo community.

Sounds fair to me. Thanks for making the guidelines clear.

The short version is if you're supporting the site you get to advertise for free, if you're not supporting the site financially theres a nominal fee, and if you don't even want to stick around for the conversation and wine tasting, you pay the most. Obviously, I'd rather everyone become a supporting member and get the full bag of extras.

    Effective October 10th 2010

The following change to the advertisement policy is made.

If you are a Supporting Member, Gold Key Member, Staff Member or Adviser, there is no charge to advertise on KenpoTalk.

All others may purchase a 7-Day Advertising Pass for $10 US. (Canadian, Australian, Great Britain and Euro rates are also included)
This pass allows you to post events on the event listing, or in the classified forums.
Post 1, post 10. You have a week to do it in.
(A Supporting Membership by comparison is good all year)

Free events, community notices, and events of a charitable nature (ie raise money for a sick kid) are free. Please email or PM them to me so that I can post them for you.
