I agree Sifu Dacoscos now Sigung I guess. Took more of a Kung Fu approch. Sigung Mel Segue also incorporated Tai Chi into the Kajukenbo style. So with Sigung Al and Sigung Mel you have Won hop Kun Do and Tai Chi Chuan FA. Those are just two I can think of. I live in Puyallup WA.. My Chief Instructor is Stan Papas he trained when he was younger with Professor Ron Tapec. Both Professor Ron and Sigung Mel live in this area. Pretty much all these branches go back to Professor Chow one way or the other.

Yes ,Sigung Al Dascosos did take a more kung fu approach but his technique is still excellent. As I recall he had Sijo Emperados permission to start the Wun Hop Kun Do system. My personal opinion is that Master Dascoscos is one of the truly great Martial artists. We have greatly enjoyed working with him. Glad to be able to call him my friend.

Just wanted to say that I have changed schools. I was studing Shotokan Karate at a local school but that school main art is Ninjitsu so I had to cross train in that art which I have no intrest in.
So I have starting tommarow at Sifu Jake Tapecs school in Puyallup Wa. I know his father Sigung Ron Tapec he knew my Kempo Instructor back in Hawaii. Sigung Ron was trained by Sigung Mel Segui who trained was trained by Al Delacruz. So they call there style Tai Chi Chuan Fa. Of course the are afilliated with the kajukenbo system. So just glad to be back in the Hawaiian Kempo family. Sigung Ron is mostly involved with teaching Doce Pares Escrima so I will also be learning this form of stick fighting also. So agian excited to be back in the Hawaiian Kempo family.
