Owner/Instructor; Hate the first, love the latter. But I bet I would not be where I am without having had that responsibility to keep on learning in order to further my student's knowledge and abilities.

Just because you do something one way, does not mean that everyone else does it that way, or that it is even the correct way.

I'm an assistant instructor at the school where I train. I currently teach one of the brown-belt classes, and a "street" self-defense class. In the past I've done beginer's, intermediate's, and kids.

    Hi.

I've been assisting instructing since I was a blue belt, but I've only officially had my very own class for about 6 months. It's hard to say exactly because my instructor used to start and then I took over or vice versa. Now, it's just me and my white/yellow belts. I'm looking forward to promoting someone to orange. I've two who are about halfway.

I don't want to own a school. I tend to make money doing my hobbies or interests, then they become jobs and jobs get boring. If I never make money doing it, it's not a job. So I do trades. In the whacky world that is my brain, that's different.

I teach 6 days a week, 3 hrs a day, as well as being a high school teacher. I also have an assistant, but most of ALL THE WORK in the studio is done by me.

Funny thing is, I never wanted this because all of my time is devoted to the studio, and yet, I could not get a small club operation going anywhere else. So this turned out good, I have no competition for mlies around, and the people in this area were starving for such a program.

In essence, I'm lucky to be there and have the people support us. This is why Service, is my #1 priority with these people.
