My goals are pretty simple and attainable.

    1. I want to add 8 more children and 8 more adults to my school.
    2. To continue offering the best instruction I possibly can
    3. To help KenpoTalk grow and be the best Kenpo resource on teh web.

Just to keep working back into training. Try to find a ballance between too much and too little (I have a tendency to go overboard).

Immediate goal: to reestablish old training contacts. Already started on this one.

Long term: find new partners that want to train more along what I like- Kenpo. Then keep working through the system.

To continue to train hard, attend as many tournaments as I can plus I would love to attend at least two Kenpo camps.

...all good goals to have. I have some simliar goals myself.
    1) increased school enrollment is always nice.
    2) I hope to get my 3rd stripe this year. =)
    3) I hope to continue to improve
    4) I hope to finish getting my Educational degree. (then I can start undergrad....sigh..it never ends...lol)
    5) This is the most productive and positive forum I've found thus far so I hope I can contribute something to its growth and prosperity. =)

Again I have to say great goals everyone.

Southwell, keep your eyes open, I might be having a mini camp up my way towards the end of August, and North bay is a great place to bring the family for a weekend vacation.

Those are a lot of great goals.

    1. I'd like to heal my knee from when it was squished during my black belt test a year and a half ago.
    2. Get my second stripe.
    3. Go to two camps.
    4. Improve my teaching ability so I can give my beginners the same love for the art that I have.
    5. Continue to firm up my bod so I don't poop out during the next camp.
    6. Maybe make another demo video so I can see if I've improved on my katas.
    7. Oh, yeah. Improve my katas.
    8. Teach my husband more kenpo (we just started).

    That's for starters.

You can do it!! I smoked for years before getting serious about martial arts. I haven't had a cigarette in almost 10 years now!

It got so bad that I couldn't breathe any more. It was either give up smoking or give up Kenpo. Guess which one I chose. =)

The first couple of weeks were the worst, I suppose. I was a little edgy, but anytime I felt the need to smoke I would stop and do a form or practice a technique. If I physically could not do the form or technique, I would close my eyes and visualize myself doing it in my head.

Not only was this method good for getting my mind off the cigarette, but it was productive in helping me fine tune forms and techniques I'd already learned and helped me learn the ones I was working on for the next level.

I simply used lemon drops to satisfy my "oral cravings" until they passed (which wasn't too long actually) but any hard candy would probably do.

    Good luck! =)

1)To continue to grow in Kenpo, I hope to reach green belt just before next Christmas.
2)I would like to get much more limber than I am.
3)I would like to improve my back kick that seems to be my weakest link.
That kills me since I can do a decent spinning back kick and a decent jump spinning back kick. (I hope that is the right terminology)
4)I am going to get back on the bowflex
5)I am going to stop smoking (even if it kills me) lol

My immediate goal for this year is to get back into shape.
I would like to get some of my students into a few tournaments.
I would like to see a few more of them progress a little faster.
Take my group to more functions.
Just because you do something one way, does not mean that everyone else does it that way, or that it is even the correct way.

Isn't it funny how many of us say we want to get in shape? Here we are, martial artists, atheletes, etc, and we all think we're not in shape or we know we're not in shape.

Sometimes you can get stuck in teaching-only mode and forgetting the part where we are supposed to be sweating and working hard on our own stuff.
