Testing for Yellow Belt

My 3 kids tested for their yellow belt tonight in class...all 3 passed! Yippee My test for yellow is Thursday.

Hahaha, don't feel bad about being outranked, my son is still ahead of me by a full belt rank too (he just got purple last month).

Congrats to your kids, and good luck on your test... make sure to BREATHE and have fun with it, no need to stress!

My son was so stoked last time he got a tip before me, congrats on your kids test and your up coming. My son and I test for orange in two weeks and I know how you feel.

Lol They might outrank me on the mat, but not in the house! My youngest son's martial arts training almost ended today. He is 8 yrs old and went to see an orthopedic today for a very large curve in his back. It is a very large curve and going the wrong direction and is getting fitted for a brace on Thursday that he will have to wear 22 hours a day. He is a very active little boy, doc says for now he will be allowed to continue karate and remove the brace for class only...poor little guy. The curve is really bad, if the brace does not help, he will more than likely need surgery to fix it.

Well, anyway, sorry for carrying on like that...and thanks again for the congrats. I might reschedule my yellow belt test for after New Year's...not sure if I will be able to focus on test when so worried about my son.

Wasn't sure where to put this, just wanted to give an update on my son and ask for all those that believe in the power of prayer, to please pray for him. He went for an MRI on Saturday because of the duality of the curves in his back, and because the upper curve is going left, rather than right, which is not normal in juvenille scoliosis. The doc called early this morning with an urgency in his voice for another MRI to be done this Thursday, but this time of his neck. The first MRI shows a cyst in his neck. Needs MRI of neck so they can get a clearer picture of what we are dealing with...hope and pray that it is not cancerous and can be treated or removed. We, his father and I, are not telling him this news until day after Christmas...we want him to enjoy the Holiday. Well, Merry Christmas to all Santa is on his way...hehehe
