Although Bart was an accomplished fighter and champion, wasn't this particular bout a work like pro-wrestling?
It's true...check it out.
Also does a nice "chicken kick" KO to some poor sap at the end of the clip.

...LOL...you mean Ken "sold" those kicks to the head and the whole match was a "work"? In other words, Bart never actually knocked Ken out.
I don't know. I accepted it since it seems to be posted by Black Belt Magazine. Also, I'm quite a "mark" but I never knew of a pro-rasslin match that involved Mr. Vale though Shamrock has been involved with it.
...this should create some interesting dialouge.![]()

The name of the promoting organization that promoted this event was "Professional Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi" or PWFG for short, It was known for "stiff" matches, you be the judge if you think the finish was a work or not.
We covered this on the San Jose Discussion board in late September, take a look there for several sides of this story.

"This person is as dangerous as an IED."
Although, I would be willing to put a small sum of money into anyones medical care fund if they were to go up to Bart Vale and say that they think his fights in Japan were stagged just like wrasslin.
Double if it's at an event or seminar I'm at so I can see it all live.

One thing is for sure.
Bart Vale is one tough dude, who has done a lot for Kenpo's reputation. That guy is the size of a monster, and yikes, can he kick for his size.
