    Default The # 7

When you look at the universal pattern on a horizontal plane. Look at the center diamond. When referencing this to foot munevours, what techs work the # 7, to compleat the pattern.

    1) Crushing hammer
    2) crashing wings
    3) Leaping crane
    4) ?

There are specific techs that make the #7 on the floor with the foot manuv.
I gave 3 that complete 3/4 of the circle.

Interesting concept. I was teaching the the 7 & reverse 7 pattern on monday evening. The most noteable are the first 2 on the list. Same basic idea of getting behind the attacker.

Well Crushing Hammer steps to 9:00 then 4:00. Crashing Wings steps to 3:00 then 8:00. Leaping Crane steps to 9:00 then 2:00. I'm assuming that #4 could be any number of techniques that steps first to 3:00 then to 10:00.

So I'll just suggest one. How about Checking the Storm? Step to 3:00 to block and kick, then step to 10:00 in a twist stance and deliver the second kick.

Yes, now look at them in another point of view, like brushing the storm

Are you sure you would group brushing the storm in with this group?

Are you looking at the base technique or the full technique with extension?

I was looking at the extension, the bit where you leap off to the right then left-side-kick the ribs. It was the only one I could think of at the time that vaguely resembled "3 o'clock then 10 o'clock". I think Domino3700 has a better answer with 'Checking the Storm'.

Unfortunately I don't know that tech yet... so I think I'll just listen and learn from this point forward.
