You can't beat the cost for such a great event. This is really cool.

It's late and I'm home icing my knees.

First let me say MAJOR KUDOS to Dr. Dave for putting this together. He did an excellent job of lining of some outstanding talent, we had a lot of people show, it ran smoothly and the food and hanging out afterward was a ton of fun.

Sigung LaBounty started us off and was great fun, as always. We covered and kneed and elbowed, then did a bit of work on the side mount. Dr. Dave and I worked out together and it was a crack up. I'm not terribly skilled in this area (being very generous with myself here) and when I finally got on top where I was supposed to be, I didn't brace very well and he kept flipping me back to the side mount. So much for owning my space. lol.

I partnered with Rich Hale for a lot of the event and I enjoyed his company and his kenpo tremendously. I have some very attractive bruises with his name on them.

Ron Chapel did a fun seminar. In person, I found him to be quite charming and he put on an interesting seminar.

Ted Sumner discussed a different take on a variety of techniques and there was another instructor (Dave or Dan -- apologies for not getting it) from Petaluma Kenpo who had us playing with stick and then doing a push-me/pull-me gauntlet exercise. Very amusing.

Dr. Dave was the last presenter and he came up with a bunch of sadistic and horrific drills to do which were............a lot of fun. lol.

Joa Schwinn owns the school where the event took place and he was a wonderful host.

Afterwards, we ate burgers and (they) drank beer and told stories. Since I have never worked as a bouncer or a cop, my stories were fairly boring by comparison (or even just by themselves), so I kept them to myself.

Overall, a fantastic event which I hope Dr. Dave puts on again next year (or next month).

Oh, and I'd also like to say that despite all evidence and expectation to the contrary, Dr. Dave was not a bitter, cranky, cynical old man.

    He wasn't old.

Just kidding. Much to my surprise, I found his company..................almost tolerable.
