    Question Destiny or Irony??

In the (1991) movie "Perfect Weapon",
Mr. Speakman applies at least 4 choke holds
(Triangle, Rear Naked and 2 Collar or X-Chokes).

That seemed like a lot of Jiu-jitsu for a Kenpoman
until the release of Kenpo 5.0.

    Destiny or Irony??
What have I learned from this???

    Well,

Mr. Parker did take out the kicks...

    ...and the Jujitsu.

    Which were in Kenpo Jujitsu.

I know that those choke-outs are in the Okazaki Jujitsu system (Danzanryu, Kodenkan Jujitsu system), and that Chow and Okazaki did (I was informed) train in the same Gym back in Hawaii.

and as you know Mr. Parker choreographed every fight scene in the movie.

I like the hidden concepts shown too ... for example why did Jeff punch the roundhouse kick in the instep (china shop scene)? To attack the attack and show different weapons and targets.

    I like the movie.

And I was sad to see Mr. Parker die right then.

    Yep.

For those that are curious there is a free download of that old book on the Al Tracy site, tracyskarate.com.
