Question about IKC patches

For those of you who have participated in the International Karate Championships that are held each year in Long Beach, CA, I had a
question about the patch you recieve when entering. My question is,
where is the 'correct' place to put these patches on your Gi? In many
photos of Ed Parker, he is wearing one on the right side of his gi, and
it seems I have seen them on various other spots on other people's Gi.
One guy had many patches and he had them on one leg of his Gi.
I have only 2 of these patches(for now!) and I thought I would see if
there is a traditional place for them to go. Thanks for your help

I'd wear it where Mr. Parker wore it, and put both of them on seperate gis.

The correct place to wear one is on the right side of the gi top. Many people have more than one patch and wear the extras on the leg. I have the AKKI flame patch and wear it on the right side now, but have not decided on whether to put my 2 old IKC flame patches on the leg or on the bottom front of the gi top.

I put my 2003 Boston patch on my right sleeve, just below shoulder height. This mirrors the location of one of the flame patches on one of the seniors in the studio where I work out. One of the 3rd's in our studio, wears his flame patch on the lower area of the right leg.

In 2003, Doreen Cogliandro of Revere Karate hosted a competition and workshop series under the IKC banner. This is the patch that was given to participants.

I did not compete, but attended some workshops with Mr. Valez, Mr. Trejo and a couple of others, whom I can't recall at this time.

Also, the patches from Ireland, in 2004 or 2005, were green and orange around the edge, I believe. I do not have that patch.
