Have you read the latest Black Belt Magaziine? There is an ad selling Parker Kenpo training tapes. They will send you your black Belt certification when you buy the tapes.

I am sooo going to do that! I will feel so proud to have my certification of my correspondence school black belt. So proud!
I'll put it next to the one I got for engine repair and plane piloting.

And even longer than that. I think the notable part is that the ad was run in Black Belt magazine. It's a mystery why a magazine with any repute would choose to run such an ad.

Yes, that ad has been there for a while. And it is easy to find the website using google...

I have always said that martial arts needs some type of governing board to stop junk like that from happening. The same goes for schools that hand out black belts like candy to children.

Yep. The New World Order on a smaller scale. I'm sure with that one, you bet! Because, governing boards have a marked tendency to propogate themselves, just like the schools you so much dislike. They'd be in bed together so fast you'll wonder for a week why YOUR school is the one closed before you even know who did it. Heck fire, we're going socialist in everything else, why not the martial arts. Then, when your gov't (or governing board) aproved school tears up your joints you can get socialized health care (that should be good too) and then welfare when you can't work (we know that system builds responsible citizens)...
Or we could all take responsibility for ourselves and let the idiots that only want the belt do their own thing.

That ad should be next to the old mail order brides for blackbelts. A 2 fer. Where were these things when I needed them.
