    Default Old vs New

Who do you have your money on in UFC 60? Matt Hughes or Royce Gracie?

Yeah, but I don't think Matt is taking the fight seriously. Just based on the interviews I've seen.

I am pulling for Royce since I remember him from the old days and I feel he is the under dog in this fight. I always pull for the under dog. Hmmm ... I'd better ask my shrink about that ... anyway.

Hughes should win based on his youth, conditioning and pure strength.

Yes they are the same body weight but Hughes has much more muscle at that weight than Royce.

Also Royce is used to less rules and used to no rounds. Royce is at a clear disadvantage IMO for those reasons.

A friend is hosting the fight on his 127" projector, should be a fun night.

If I were a betting man I would say Hughes will wipe the floor with him and win in the 1st or 2nd round. However I would like to see Royce submit him.

Some people have this picture in their mind of royce gracie as some weak guy that can only fight lying on his back or in a clinch.
I've seen a lot of videos.....Royce is one tough SOB, and if Hughes is thinking anything differently I can see him taking a nap at the end of the fight.

    I agree.

IMO Hughes is taking the fight seriously, maybe not in public but I bet he is training his arse off for it.

I think that Royce will win this one. He has the experience of getting beat by the toughest of the gracie clan on a regular basis. His expereince has to be second to none.

That would be something to see Hughes submit Gracie what a shocker that would be.I predict Hughes by TKO 2nd round but would love to see Gracie make him tap.

I would love to see Royce win, but I bet Matt KO's him or damages him severely.

Anyone remember when Royce fought Kimo? Kimo beat the ever-loving piss out of him, but in the end Royce submitted him. Royce was beat so bad he could not continue (that was back in the day when if you won, you went on to fight again that same nite.) Kimo came out to the ring perfectly fine and wanting to fight. Royce can take a beating, but can Matt avoid the submission? We'll have to wait and see.

Of course I taped them when there were 19.95 a program.

I remember watching Royce and the boxer in the very first fight. I thought why is that guy wearing 1 boxing glove . It didn't matter Royce won anyways.

Royce will win. Huges is brutal...but Royce beat a Kenpoist. If you can do that, well...you'd be undefeated in the UFC!

Hmmm.....I think it all depends on Matt's stand up, although his ground game is pretty good also, but he' no gracie its hard to call but i think Royce gets caught with some mean punches and Matt wins by KO or somehow gets him to submit...JMO

I would like to see Matt win, but I think Royce will choke him out.
