I prefer the blade edge maximum penetration, maximum pain.
    Quality outweighs quantity every time.

    It depends upon my target.

Generally I use the heel however when I only have a little bit of room to strike then I use the knife edge.

Usuallly the heel but once and a while I will use the knife edge to the knees depending on how much damage I want to cause.

I like to use the heel if Im going in a downward angle...it almost becomes a stomp then.

I had to stand up and throw a kick to find out... how sad is that?

Knife edge is most natural for me.

Heel. I prefer causing blunt force trauma.

I was in class last night and I was thining about this.. so I kicked normaly but just payed attention.

All of my sides that went to the legs were knife edge.. but the kicks to the torso were heel.

Tess.. yea... right.. like I would make it that easy for you to kick me in the torso... humm... Ok well yea, I might... but that is hardly the point...

My thoughts exactly. If I'm using the knife edge of my foot, then it's a knife-edge kick, so it's no the same kick anyway.

I had one instructor who showed the ending position of a rear kick, then had us close our eyes and when we opened them, he was in the same position and said, 'what kick did I do?' It was a side thrust. Looks the same. Heel all the way, baby.
