    Default Orange Belt:

Promoted to Orange Belt last night!!!
It's been a while (exactly one year) since my Yellow Belt Test.

During the test I had a little trouble catching my breath, so I have to do some kind of aerobic exercise, any suggestions???

What have I learned from this???

Congratulations on your achievement. I've started to jump rope and do wind sprints myself for cardio.

A routine that I like is to alternate between bag-work, shadow-boxing, techniques, sets/forms, push-ups, crunches, squat-thrusts, etc. In whatever order you choose.

    Thumbs up Re: Orange Belt:

    Congratulations, Kenpo-Sloth!

I think other people have given good suggestions as far as the Cardio workout; don't have anything to add except maybe running laps at your school (if the mat area is large enough) --forwards, backwards, & sideways (crossing over in front & then behind you). In addition to being good for cardiovascular health, it requires you to use different leg muscles.

Best Wishes in your continued training,

Congratulations!!! Orange Belt is a fun level to be at. The material for purple belt is great stuff.

As for the cardio... I'm with Kenpo-Tex on that. He's got a good recipe for conditioning going on.

    Bravo~!

Yes indeed, good advice above~! We like to do some circuit training - 4 corners and a spot between... (not necessarily in order) one corner -Bag work (punches) - in between - running in place next corner kicks on a bag next inbetween spot jump roping - next corner squat thrusts - between- punching drills in a horse stance final corner.. stretches to cool down.

It's fun and you can vary the drills using tecs or what have you

    Enjoy~!
