Interesting version...I'll have to try that out. It looks very similar to the way I learned it with the exception of a few "insertions."
Thanks for the post!![]()

It is a purple belt requirement. In the version I learned we strike with a right handsword to the neck after the inward diagonal forearm strike and then it ends. We learned this on the Purple belt card. Where is it taught in the AKKI? Thanks for posting!

you can actually insert a raking back knuckle to their left tricept, or ulnar nerve (not fun) on the way to the check/chamber by your ear.. sneaky sneaky, sir!
filling empty space and using the same pathway of action at the same time is fun![]()

I learned the rising forearm strike version myself.

If you look up Mr. Mills on youtube; you would notice he mentions Mr. Parker personally taught that it was not a "hammer fist", but, rather a back-knuckle. Turning the hammer fist to a b.k. gives the strike added torque.
Seems GM Mills not only witnessed, but internalized what SGM Parker knew and taught.

Brother John,
Think of it as an outward extended block for the strike to the right arm. I think Mr. Mills has demonstrated it in one of his first CD's, the one with Mr. Jacob on the patio at the house of pain. Its out of context, but the same strike.
CRL
yes.. an extended outward block, modified for a back knuckle rake.. thanks crl.. tho im not sure of the clip in the house of pain vid you're talking about, it sounds like its what im thinking of![]()

Hey madeku,
I had the wrong CD, either that or I saw it at Mr. Mills and its not out. The clip that I found for the outward extended is on the AKKI Las Vegas Camp Clips, Vol. One in the Euro section at 1:14 on the counter. Have had it demo'd on me, hurts like a bugger. LOL
