    Default Favorite Set

Stealing from Hunter's idea, what is your favorite Set? Not form but Set. I've found that the AKKI Sets have really revolutionized how I do kenpo. Please specify if you mean the basic or advanced version of the set.

My favorite, Centerline Set with Advanced Finger Set coming in a close second.

I don't know a whole lot of sets yet, but so far the basic finger set is my favorite, followed closely by the trapping set. Centerline set is a third because I see so much of that set in the forms I know along with watching some of the higher rank self defense techniques.

Universal set.......I haven't been that able to dig deep into centerline set but after learning some blue belt material I am sensing it is very deep. So it would come in a close second.

I like playing with universal set and playing with variations of it. So in order I guess Universal, Centerline, then Finger Set (don't know the advanced version yet) I have a feeling when I am deeper into the blues and centerline set that this order might change.

    for now? Universal.
What I know of 'centerline' I really like. I'm sure that once I become competent with it..I'll really like it. Don't know if it'll trump Universal...but they'll probably be neck and neck.

Default What are you doing with your sets?

What are you all doing with the sets you've learned. One thing we try to do in our school is go between the sets Universal, Trapping and Centerline. This build lets us have fun with the material without getting trapped in the mires of repetitive boredom :-)

I don't have too many fun activities with finger set though and would be all for some new material. Any suggestions?

I LOVE Trapping Set! It teaches SO much. I like to warm-up for it with Universal set.

Trapping set is my favorite. I teaches so much... I like to move from trapping to to universal and back to trapping, try to find as many paces to do it as possible. It also works well to move from techs to trapping and back into the tech. etc..

Plus, doing trapping with the knives... and moving into universal etc... great fun!

How do I pick? They're all so good, teaching and connecting to other areas all the time.

At the moment, I'm working Centerline Set with one of my students a lot, but as to it being a favourite, I don't know.

I second that. Universal set? Moving sets? Centerline set?

What are all of these? Care to post them?

    Maybe a clip?

I am still new to the system but from what I am seeing, there are quite a few.

There are a few, for sure. I'm learning our Club Set now. It's a very daunting task. I promise I will master it! LOL!
