    Default 'Inside Elvis'

One of my gifts this Christmas was Inside Elvis by Ed Parker, I just started reading it. Has anyone else read it and what do you think ?

Great book. Not what most people will expect.

I have the book but haven't even opened it. I guess I could spend less time posting and more time reading eh? =)

I very much enjoyed it. Mr. Parker's love for the "King" comes through quite clearly.
Just because you do something one way, does not mean that everyone else does it that way, or that it is even the correct way.

Hey CC why don't you loan me the book whilst you are busy posting??? Seeing as I'm taking it easy, I'd love to read it.

Sure..I'm having a hard time "getting into it" anyway. The pictures are cool though! I always did like pictures. Those dang words hurt my head! LOL.

When reading Inside Elvis you can not approach this book like any other Kenpo book, because it is not about Kenpo. It is about the friendship and love between to people Ed Parker and Elvis Presley.

Oh yeah, from what I've read thus far it's obvious they had a special relationship. A lot of people tried and did cash in on The King's death. It was honorable of SGM Parker to rush to his defense. Shoot, I remember hearing about his death on T.V. as a kid and crying my lil' eyes out. I had a poster of him on my wall at the time. I remember wondering what that "patch" on his guitar was all about. LOL.

I picked up a copy of this book on ebay and enjoyed it alot. As an added bonus the copy I got is signed inside the front cover-
    "To the Plummer family,
    Success to all of you,
    Ed Parker"
I thought that was really cool.

I'm not sure I finished this book, but it was interesting. Not great in my opinion, but interesting. There was some very cool stuff in there. I would reccomend it to anyone who thinks they are interested or anyone who saw Jim Carrey's the "World Champion Bob" skit on In Living Color.
