The Fighters Fact Book

I just finished reading The Fighters Fact Book by Loren W. Christensen. I must say, for under 15 dollars, this book rocks. While I didn't learn anything amazingly new or much that I haven't heard before, this book is a great refresher course for the beginner and the advanced artist alike. The book doesn't deal with kenpo, but rather martial arts and fighting in general. The concepts can be applied to almost any art. I suggest this be on everyones book shelf. There is a second book also, which I plan to buy very shortly, I'll let you know how it is.

I'm glad you liked the book. I know Mr. Christensen and Wim Demeere pretty well. In fact I'll be seeing Mr. Demeere in July (he's from Belgium).

I believe I (Frank Garza) am mentioned in that book.

If you get a chance, read Loren Christensen's Way Alone book. I read the first version of it many years ago and it inspired me to train harder.

Mr. Christensen is a retired Portland (Oregon) police officer and martial artist, and he has a lot of great knowledge.

It is a good book, well written. I like all of his books.

I have read 2-3 of his books and I have always enjoyed them. He has another book on Solo Training that is very good as well.

I like that he has "been there, done that" as a cop, etc. BUT, he doesn't come across as some macho rambo elit killer that some of the RBSD do.
