    Default Calendar

I know we have a calendar that displays members birthdays ....

I also know there is an 'Events' forum that informs us of upcoming seminars by the various 'Big Wig's.

I am wondering if there is a way to combine these two ideas.

It would be need to be able to look at a calendar that says
Mr. Liles is in Denmark with Ms. Tanaka on January 4 - 5 - 6
Mr. Trejo is in San Fransisco on January 5 - 6
Mr. Planas is in Pittsburg on January 6 - 7
(I'm making all those dates up, sort of).

If members could create the event on the calendar, and perhaps link to a discussion about the event, it could be useful.

P.S. Another thought that could be useful would include a map, with pinpoints for the locations of events.

    Oops!

I see that we actually can do that. I guess it is now a question of if we should use the calendar in this manner ... and if having the birthdays posted on the same calendar makes sense.

I'll leave that for discussion ...

It's possible to create multiple calendars, and to turn off all the birthday notices.
