Remind me what IKCA stands for again?
I don't think we need any other specific forums for people. We are all tolerant of each other's styles. We even tolerate Russ, which really says a lot.

Yes
No
With there being a Yahoo Group and Brenda King's forum as well, does KenpoTalk need an IKCA forum? This has to be the most friendly site towards members of the IKCA other than their specific forums, so would it fly here. Would it bring in more members?
Personally I would love to see as many IKCA members as possible posting here, and have this site as the place for all things Kenpo/Kempo.
Quality outweighs quantity every time.

The New Kenpo Continuum Book is now accepting submissions for volume 2. Our fabulous, ever-changing website is Sacramento Kenpo Karate.

The IKCA is the International Karate Connections Association, founded by Chuck Sullivan and Vic LeRoux. They have their own perspective on Kenpo and their own system of Kenpo. It is a good solid system built upon sound Kenpo Principles. Fewer techniques than EPAK but no less effective. We already have forums for Doc, Dennis Conatser, Larry Tatum and several other Seniors why not these two gentlemen who created their own version of Kenpo.

Well, then what the heck? Maybe could we have a section for the 5.0 material when it comes out? The dvds, I mean. It would be good to have a place to talk about the new techniques that are coming out and I'll try to perhaps get some AKKS people on here to discuss them.
Mr. Speakman doesn't frequent forums, but I'm sure I could find other people who know the material who might want to put in their .02.

This site is supposed to be all about diversity in all the areas of Kenpo/Kempo I say the more subgroups sharing the merrier.

Before any sections are added we need to make sure we have the people that will use the area. I know CC has started a couple threads in the AKKO hosted forum about the IKCA material and they generated some great discussions. I know we have several IKCA members here on the site already, it would be nice to bring in more.

I think both ideas are great.
IKCA forum
and
Kenpo 5.0 forum
Since we have representation to both of those amoung our members it would benefit them all.

Sure, why not? I'd like to gain more insight into the 5.0 material as well. I whole heartedly believe that the more kenpo/kempo material I'm exposed to the more I can learn! I think more diversity would only be a benefit to everyone.
Chuck Sullivan, Vic LeRoux, and Jeff Speakman are all very knowledgable and talented...I don't think many would argue their legitimacy as kenpoist.
The members have demonstrated a high level of maturity, discipline, and values that embrace learning and mutual respect and excellent moderation keeps out the flamers and the trolls.
So I say do it and keep the forum open for more if the opportunity arises. Of course some guidelines may need to be established and spelled out for future additions. Whatcha' think?

I started the Where Do You Fit In thread to see how many of each type of Kenpo/Kempo when have here onthe site. That way we can best serve our members. For those people involved in the IKCA start bringing in IKCA members so that we have the numbers to support the area.

Couldn' hoit! But, I'd do a private poll of the IKCA folk and see if they want it. Maybe just change the forum that CC is useing now, as that org is defunct (as far as I know), and see how it goes. Be interesting.

I don't know how many IKCA people post here, but the more the merrier. I love the Memorial website BTW.
With so many people wanting to see an IKCA forum, the big question is, who is going to actively recruit the IKCA members.

I know a few members I will put the word out to.
