Hi all i am still in processes of choosing my school . I'm so new to site ,that i have no sight{bad pun}. I am looking for school that will have real sparring ; ability to defend my loved ones from street brawlers. discipline and good old fashion earn as you learn sweat belts. I live in Tucson ,Arizona and have access to several kenpo schools. Any good suggestions as to what else to look for in instructors.
My bacground: I have 2 years of tae kwon do, a year or so of kung fu, several months of kajikimbo, I studied 1 year of kenpo kung fu, and have done some amatuer wrestling in texas. All was done in early mid 80's. The kenpo is what stood out for me,as it did what none of the others could,it gave me self confidence in my formative years, god bless kenpo. Do to series of robbaries I am seeking the knowledge of either tracy kenpo or ed parker school here ,any and all suggestion will be taken seriously thanks, and no none of my family was hurt.

Gilbert Velez lives and has a school in Tucson. He is a great guy and was one of Mr. Parker's personal students when Mr. Parker died. His understanding and execution of kenpo is awesome. You should definitely check out his school.

Welcome to KT.
There is a Speakman school in Tempe...I don't know how far of a drive that is for you but, I can tell you that I drive 1.5 hours each way to study at a Speakman school and it's very well worth it.
Oh, and welcome to KT. I've only been here a short few months and have learned so very much from most of the more humble folks on this board. I think it's the best Kenpo board by far.
